safety REQUIREMENTS
The following SAFETY rules will be enforced at each run. Any attendees not meeting the safety requirements will be turned around.
Safety Equipment
Recommended Items to Carry:
1. Cell Phones and GPS’s are suggested
2. Winch is suggested
3. Spilling containment material
4. Portable Sanitation Device
5. Shovel (36” minimum) * required on all snow runs
LISTED BELOW ARE THE TRAIL REQUIREMENTS LISTED BY CLASS WHICH WILL BE CLASSIFIED IN OUR CALENDAR.
Class 1
Class 2 (Class 1+ the following)
Class 3 (Class 1 & 2 + the following)
Class 4 (Class 1 & 2 & 3 + the following)
Safety Equipment
- Tow strap or rope
- First aid kit.
- Jack capable of lifting the vehicle & tools to change tire.
- Spare tire with diameter within 3 inches of existing tires (no temporary spares).
- ABC Fire extinguisher with gauge indicating good/full, appropriately stored.
- Seat belts for all vehicle occupants.
- Antennas must be rigid or restrained in a manner to prevent injuries.
- Adequate attachment points front and rear, i.e. tow hooks, receiver, etc. Tow balls are not permitted.
- Hand Held Radio (Rugged Ridge, Baofeng)
- Tire inflation equipment
- Tools
- Any spare parts you may need to carry

- Recommended 31” tires or M&S rated in good condition.
- Good clearance under the vehicle and adequate attachment points front and rear (trailer hitch ball is not allowed).
- Drinking water and extra food.
- Proper clothing for the environment you will be traveling.
- Tow Strap
- Tire Inflation Equipment
Class 2 (Class 1+ the following)
- Minimum 33” off road tires in excellent condition.
- At least one limited slip differential, with lockers preferred.
- High clearance between the frame and the ground and adequate attachment points front and rear.
- Hi lift jack (Winch recommended).
- Tools and any special spare parts for your vehicle.
Class 3 (Class 1 & 2 + the following)
- Minimum 35” off road tires in excellent condition.
- Locker, rear. No limited slips.
- Minimum 3.5” lift, with proper clearance for tires.
Class 4 (Class 1 & 2 & 3 + the following)
- Minimum 35” off road tires in excellent condition.
- Lockers front and rear. No limited slips.
- Minimum 15” clearance between the frame and the ground.
- Winch.
